Black Path Labs Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 15, 2026

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Black Path Labs Corporation, a California corporation ("Black Path Labs," "we," "us" or "our"), collects, uses, shares and protects personal information. It applies to:

  • our website, blackpathlabs.com (the "Site");
  • emails and other messages you send us; and
  • our text-message program, Black Path Labs Notifications.

It does not cover personal information we process on behalf of clients. Section 8 explains how that information is handled.

If you have questions, contact our Privacy Officer at admin@blackpathlabs.com.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you email us, use our contact page, or otherwise reach out, we collect what you choose to send. This usually includes your name, email address, phone number, company, role and the content of your message. Prospective investors may also send information about themselves or their organizations.

Text-message information. If you opt in to Black Path Labs Notifications, we collect:

  • your mobile phone number;
  • your consent record: the date, time and method of your opt-in, and the consent wording you were shown;
  • the content of messages exchanged between you and our numbers; and
  • delivery information, such as whether each message was delivered and any carrier error.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider records technical information about each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the date and time, and your browser type. This information is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and investigate abuse.

Cookies and tracking. We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking technologies on the Site. Our hosting provider may set a strictly necessary cookie to protect the Site against automated attacks. It is not used to track you or for advertising. If this changes, we will update this policy before the change takes effect.

3. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to your inquiries and communicate with you;
  • discuss and prepare potential engagements with prospective clients;
  • discuss potential investment with prospective investors;
  • send text messages you opted in to receive, and honor STOP and HELP requests;
  • keep records showing that consent was given and honored;
  • operate, maintain and secure the Site and our systems, and investigate abuse; and
  • comply with legal obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.

We do not use personal information for advertising or to build advertising profiles.

We do not use personal information to train machine-learning or artificial-intelligence models.

4. How we share information

We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not share it with data brokers.

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Service providers. Companies that host the Site, carry our email, and deliver our text messages receive the information they need to perform those services for us. They may use it only on our instructions and must protect it.
  • Professional advisers. Our lawyers, accountants and similar advisers, who are bound by confidentiality duties.
  • Affiliates. Companies that control, are controlled by or are under common control with Black Path Labs, only to provide or support our services and subject to this policy. They may not use it for their own marketing.
  • Legal requirements and protection. When required by law, such as in response to a valid court order, or when needed to protect our rights, the safety of any person, or the security of our systems.
  • Business transfers. As part of a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets. Any recipient must continue to honor this policy, including its text-message commitments.

Call a Voice Corp., which operates Call a Voice and IntakeLaw, is a separate company. We do not share personal information with it for its marketing or other purposes.

5. Text messages and mobile information

This section applies to every mobile number and consent record we hold. If anything else in this policy conflicts with it, this section controls.

  • No mobile information will be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • Text-messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except the messaging providers that deliver our messages, which may use them only to deliver those messages.
  • Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
  • We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
  • We use your number and messaging data only to send the messages you agreed to, honor your requests, and show that your consent was given.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Our Terms of Use set out the full program terms.

6. Information about people who are not our clients

Some of our research services involve information about people who are not our clients, such as company profiles, research dossiers, and monitoring of competitors, markets and regulation.

We do this only for clients under a signed engagement and for lawful purposes. We gather the information from public and lawfully available sources. We do not use it for any other purpose, and we do not sell it.

If you believe we hold information about you collected this way, you can contact us at admin@blackpathlabs.com.

7. Black Path Core usage records

When Black Path Core runs a session, it records capability lookups, connection metadata and usage records. These show who connected to what, when, and how much was used. We use them to operate and secure the service.

Core is designed so that these records do not contain the content of calls, files or prompts.

8. Information we process for clients

When we build or operate systems for a client, such as AI agents, integrations or services on Black Path Core, we process personal information on the client's behalf, as its service provider.

That information is governed by our signed agreement with the client and by the client's own privacy notice, not by this policy. If you are a customer or employee of one of our clients, please contact that client about your information. We will help the client respond.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting or reporting requirements. We then delete it or make it anonymous.

If you opt out of text messages, we keep a record of your opt-out for as long as needed to make sure we do not message you again.

10. Security

We protect personal information with administrative, technical and physical safeguards suited to its sensitivity. These include access controls and encryption in transit. Access is limited to people who need it for their work.

No system is completely secure. If a breach affects your personal information in a way that creates a real risk of harm, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.

11. Where information is stored

We are based in the United States. The Site is hosted by a provider in the United States, and our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries.

If you are in Canada, your personal information will be stored and processed outside Canada, mainly in the United States. It may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there under U.S. law.

12. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is wrong;
  • delete your information; or
  • stop sending you messages.

To make a request, email admin@blackpathlabs.com. We will respond within 30 days, or longer where the law allows. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so we do not disclose someone else's information. There is no charge.

If we cannot fully meet a request, for example because the law requires us to keep certain records, we will explain why.

Canadian residents. You may also withdraw consent, subject to legal or contractual limits. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

California residents. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

Do Not Track. Some browsers send "Do Not Track" signals. Because we do not track visitors across websites or over time, we do not change how the Site operates in response to these signals.

13. Children

The Site and our services are intended for adults in business and professional settings. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have, we will delete it.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated policy on the Site and change the "Last updated" date. If a change materially affects how we use or share personal information, we will say so clearly at the top of the policy, and we will not apply it to information collected before the change without your consent where the law requires it.
